Hai hai!
This time I try to review something that I've never tried before, which is an earphone. Two years ago I was not a too complicated in choosing an earphone / headphones. Ear ear that I was not captious and voters, and why should I buy according to the earphone / headphone is expensive because it sounded just wrote. Well, it used to be. But since yesterday setahunan ears I was already starting to demand more, especially after trying headphone and earphone quality. Cheap earphones I will just make your ears hurt. Is there a quality earphones but it affordable? Turns out there, and brand SoundMAGIC prove it.
Never heard the name SoundMAGIC? No wonder, because the Chinese manufacturer was still less popular than the brand Sennheiser, Shure, Klipsch, Monster, etc.. SoundMAGIC has a line of quality products at affordable prices than its competitors, until I could not believe it at first. A year ago I finally tried one type of product SoundMAGIC the MP21 for the iPhone 4 because I find that I have a microphone (to call) and the integrated music button at affordable prices. Overall I was satisfied for a year, until now it starts to break down (which left his voice shrinking, so it does not balance anymore).
Yesterday I started looking for a replacement MP21 and coincidence in the magazine What Hi-Fi I read that the E10 gets SoundMAGIC awards best for 2011 with a budget category. With a price of less than Rp 350,000, - which I think is not too expensive, a consideration in the i tried it. E10 does not have a microphone and an integrated music button like the MP21 I start to break, but I was not a consideration at this time. The important thing is sound quality and an affordable price.
Specifications E10 SoundMAGIC
- Driver: Dynamic, 10mm Neodymium
- Frequency range: 15 Hz - 22 kHz
- Impedance: 16 Ohm
- Sensitivity: 100dB at 1kHz/mW
- Cable length: 1.2m
- Plug: Gold-plated, straight 3.5mm
- Accessories: Silicone tips (single flange S / M / L, double flange M), shirt clip, carrying pouch
In his package, E10 only include a few options and a pouch the size of the buds. There is no over-ear hooks (MP21 include it) and I think it would be nice if the included hard case and not a storage pouch that is more secure. But at an affordable price like this, it seems that these accessories are more than enough right?
E10 SoundMAGIC package
E10 has some combination of black with metallic colors like red, yellow, and purple. That I choose and reviewed it is a combination of black and red, with a different cable color red itself is also compared to other colors with black cord. I think the red color of choice in this cable makes E10 looks more unique and interesting even though on the other hand also looks a bit cheap than black.
By design, I quite like. Shaped like a small drum, formed of aluminum metal which I like hard plastic with just a touch of metallic paint. Still, looks more sturdy than the earphones that I MP21. No microphone or a dedicated music button as I've said before, there are only clips only. Total cable length of about 1.2 meters, and feels more stiff than I previously earphone cord. Although not yet proven, it seems that this cable is more prone to break if bent or folded too broken. Should be stored carefully, yet included pouch to store it.
There is one thing that I should not have, namely the words "Made in China" on the part of his jack. Not that I said Made in China stuff is bad (hey, the iPhone and iPad are made in China!) But it feels a bit less in terms of aesthetics alone if placed on it. Just plain black left would look better, or if you want it just was writing SoundMAGIC logo.
About audio quality, E10 is superior in detail and bass. Deep bass and punchy, with a clear sounding audio detail. For people who like to be bass, E10 could be an excellent choice. The voice sounded clear and crisp vocals. Soundstage and stereo impression was good. Sometimes in some of the songs sound very crowded and the detail that some people may not like to be like this characteristic. In addition to the high-frequency sound sometimes makes a little sore ears if listened too long, especially for those who prefer the characteristics of soft and calm. Nevertheless, the overall audio quality is given the thumbs up to the asking price is much cheaper than the more expensive precious earphones with similar quality.
About noise isolation, these earphones can be fairly good, especially if you use the right tips in accordance with our ears. E10 also has the effect of "increase of volume ', ie although the gadgets we lower the volume, the sound was heard loud. This makes us more efficient gadget battery because it uses a small volume, and certainly a good thing. The downside, at high volume, the sound leaks out, though not too severe.
Conclusion
So, does this SoundMAGIC recommended? YES! Highly recommended especially for those who are looking for basshead and earphone replacement standard with their gadgets (yes, you, Apple, your earphone SUCKS!). The price offered is very tempting, especially audio quality equivalent to that offered by most competitors in the brand's price is two-fold or even more expensive. Now it's just to see how durable these headphones resistance in everyday use.
